Parc Boutique

328 E. Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, 612-353-4966

With its gourmet eateries, hip bars, and locally owned shops, the only thing that northeast Minneapolis had been missing is a stylish clothing boutique. Parc was worth the wait. To the delight of neighborhood residents, the much-anticipated men and women’s store opened in May. Customers walk into the shop half dazed, half overjoyed, at its arrival. Many can be overheard profusely thanking owner Thao Bui for opening Parc, and with good reason: The shop carries premium denim at a variety of price points; soft graphic tees and sophisticated tops; dresses for every occasion; and a small but thoughtfully curated selection of accessories, including belts, scarves, and delicate gold jewelry by Chicago designer Jess LC. Bui’s experience at Gap headquarters in San Francisco shows in her penchant for California-casual clothing, and her knack for helping customers mix and match individual pieces to create outfits that suit their lifestyle. The vibe at Parc is equally laid-back. A Vespa and picnic table in the center of the store contrast with the chandeliers and gilded mirrors. The playful surroundings keep customers from taking shopping too seriously—even if they are serious about Nordeast’s newest addition.
